Power Rankings for Dec 16th, 2007
I’ve added a power ranking section to the sidebar which I’ll update regularly (not daily but whenever there’s a change in the order). However, I’ll also continue to make a weekly post that includes the ranking in order to preserve a historical record and also to give me an opportunity to make any appropriate observations.
Wisconsin continues to hold onto the top spot in the power rankings despite the general consensus that it’s really a two horse race, Indiana and MSU, for the top of the conference this year.
Minnesota has slipped back to their previous week’s national ranking in the 40’s.
Penn State was the team making the big move by virtue of their win over Seton Hall. The Nittany Lions are trying to separate themselves from the bottom dwelling three and to served notice that they are a team not to be taken lightly during conference play.
Note: These rankings are calculated using Ken Pomeroy’s adjusted offensive and defensive ratings. My formula is different than Pomeroy’s Pythogorean methodology but does result in the same ordinal ranking for all the teams.
