Big Ten Power Rankings 03/10/08

Here’s the final regular season Power Rankings and they pretty much line up with the actual standings save for two teams. Interestingly, Wisconsin has been atop the power rankings for the entire season yet it was only about halfway through conference play that the national polls started to reflect their excellent play. Props to Bo [...]

RPI and Pomeroy Rankings (03/10/08)

Penn State got a little bump from their upset over Indiana. PSU’s Pomeroy ranking moved up to 112 from 115 and their RPI went from 155 to 148. Note however, that even with a 148 RPI, the Nits are way behind where one would want to be to lay claim to one of the 113 [...]

RPI and Pomeroy Rankings (03/03/08)

Big Ten Power Rankings (02/25/08)

Penn State, Michigan, and Iowa remain in a virtual dead heat for eighth through tenth places in the conference power rankings this week. PSU takes a hit in the power rankings

The egg that PSU laid in East Lansing last night showed up in the power rankings this morning. The Lions dropped two spots from eighth place to tenth. Effectively, Iowa, Michigan, and PSU are in a tie for eighth with only thousandths of points separating the three. # Team Pace Off Def Pwr Rank 1 [...]

Purdue climbs another spot in the power rankings

This week they slip past Michigan State into the third spot and number 22 nationally. Matt Painter has a stranglehold lock on the Big Ten coach of the year award and is making a huge bid for that honor nationally. Almost as amazingly, Illinois continues to maintain a strong power ranking climbing six spots nationally [...]
